In August of 2016, students of the Slavic Department began participating in the new Russian-language suite in Shea House. Students participating in the residential language college will have the opportunity to live in an immersive environment stressing communication in the target foreign language of Russian. Eva Demina, a native Russian speaker, will oversee programming, and assist students in their efforts to acquire Russian language skills, cultural knowledge, and international sensitivities. This includes four weekly language dinners with meals prepared fresh at Shea and a weekly language corner activity to help deepen students' cultural knowledge and give them the opportunity to practice their Russian.
